Samaaj, derived from the Sanskrit word ‘samaaj’ meaning ‘society,’ is dedicated to celebrating and safeguarding the rich tradition of Indian handicrafts. Through close collaboration with artisans across the nation, Samaaj creates contemporary menswear that pays homage to India's cultural heritage. Every garment incorporates a touch of artisanal craftsmanship. In the past year of establishing our brand, we have nurtured relationships with handloom weavers from Andhra Pradesh,Bengal and Gujarat. Each artisan we partner with carries forward a legacy of craftsmanship, ensuring the highest standards of quality and expertise in every piece of clothing.

Samaaj was founded by Raman Chawla, inspired by his travels to various artisanal clusters across India, where he gained profound insights into the artisanal processes and the profound value these artisans attach to their craft.
